I invite you to view these works as if you were looking into each subject's soul; what is carried deep inside, not just what is presented for the external world to see.

These sculptures grew from a relationship of fortunate circumstances revealed to me by chance...I began with the idea of each subject having a secret inner life, hidden from the outside, but shown here through symbols. Each individual model inspired me to depict this nearly intangible essence.

The esoteric core of each person is portrayed as a rare or precious object ritually presented. The models for these sculptures contributed more than just a physical dimension, they all shared with me a spiritual area of themselves that allowed me to create this exhibition using my preferred medium, clay.
